7 Reasons You Should Stay an Associate
“I am convinced, the way one plays chess always reflects the player’s personality. If something defines his character, then it will also define his way of playing.” – Vladimir Kramnik
Reason 1: You have a working spouse and therefore do not ‘need’ the extra income that often comes with ownership. To compound on this, you should also be in a position where you do not ‘need’ the extra autonomy which comes from ownership; as your livelihood is not reliant on this job.
Reason 2: You are highly averse to criticism.
Reason 3: You are lazy.
Reason 4: You want to ‘just do the dentistry’ and let someone else handle the ‘rest.’
Reason 5: You have decided that learning the intangibles of ownership is not how you want to spend your free time.
Reason 6: You are not afraid of the reality that you may get fired.
Reason 7: You possess a skill, talent, network, or knowledge that will allow you to generate greater success than your dental degree will allow you.
