Clinical Skills Videos
One of the absolute best ways to improve our clinical skills is by watching up close and personally the procedure in question being performed. Perhaps unfortunately, after dental school ends this phase of learning as a young dentist comes to and end. It is very rare that you as a dentist are watching another dentist perform procedures closely. You are only truly examining your own work and your own techniques. Even during most clinical bases CE courses, we are simply watching a PowerPoint Slideshow and listening to a lecturer discuss hypothetical situations.
YouTube holds thousands of dental videos to watch procedures for learning purposes. I’ve watched many of them myself. Here on this page, you will find a few videos I’ve found helpful organized in one place. If you yourself have videos that you find helpful, please email them with a YouTube link to practicebiospy@gmail.com and I may add them to the database here.
How many hours do you spend scrolling social media? Why not scroll through some dental videos 🙂
The videos posted below may be teaching you something new, but many of them are not teaching you anything new at all. Many of the videos below are simply a refresher. There are videos of simple extractions and simple restorations. Like an athlete watching game tapes, even though the athlete has played their sport for a decade.
